Gobhi paratha

Gobhi paratha is related to India. all Indian peoples like to eat a different type of parathas and gobhi paratha is one of them.
It is easy to cook and you can cook it at home by yourself. basically, this dish is eaten in a breakfast. It is healthy food and loved
by all age group people. Paneer paratha is also loved by most of the people.  You can easily found parathas everywhere in small dhabas ( road corner food small food shops)
, restaurants and hotels. parathas are mostly eaten in the Asian country like Pakistan India. you can find how easy you can cook it below descriptions.



For The Dough

1 1/2 cups whole wheat flour
1 teaspoons oil (olive oil or another refined oil soya oil)
salt according to your taste

For The Gobi Stuffing

2 teaspoon oil
1/2 teaspoon cumin seeds (jeera)
1 1/2 cups grated cauliflower(gobhi)
1/2 cup chopped onions

1/4 cup fine chopped coriander (dhania)
1 teaspoon fine chopped green chillies
salt according to your taste


Other Ingredients

whole wheat flour  for rolling
ghee for cooking


Preparation Time: 10-15 mins Cooking Time: 6 mins per gobi paratha Total Time: 40 mins total paratha – 4

Method for cooking gobhi paratha

For the dough
take a bowl and put all ingredients and mix it well with enough water and make a dough.


For the gobhi stuffing

take a pan and put on the burner then add some oil on it and cumin seed and heat it for a half minute.

When the cumin seeds slightly brown in colour than adding the chopped onions and green chillies and saute on a medium flame for at least 1 minutes.

Then we have to add the grated cauliflower and salt according to your taste then saute it on a medium flame at least 2 minutes.

Then add 4 tablespoons of water and mix it well. Now we have to cook it on a medium flame at least for 3-4 minutes and stir it time to time.

Now add the coriander and mix it well. keep aside.

Divide the gobhi stuffing into 4 equal portions. Keep aside.

Then divide the dough into 4 equal portions.

Roll out a portion of the dough into a circle.

Then put a little portion of the gobhi stuffing in the centre of the dough circle.

Now we have to bring together all the sides in the centre and sea lit tightly.

Roll out again into a little bit big circle which look suitable to you.

Now put a non-stick pan or iron tawa on a gas burner and heat it on medium flame then put your gobhi paratha dough on it and apply some oil over on it or ghee.
now heat it until it turns into slightly brown colour from both sides.

Your parathas are ready you can serve it with chutney, yoghourt, pickles etc.
