Butter chicken

 

Butter chicken was created by Jaggi at his restaurant in Delhi several years ago. butter chicken dish was made by mixing the chicken in a tomato gravy, rich in butter and cream.This dish has its roots in Punjabi cuisine. It was developed by an Indian, Kundan Lal Jaggi restaurateur.

For the marinate butter chicken

1 teaspoon ginger and garlic paste
1 teaspoon red chilli powder
Salt according to your taste
1/2 kg curd

For the gravyfoodfoodrecipe

175 gm white butter
1/3 kg tomato, pureed
1/2 teaspoon sugar
1/2 teaspoon black cumin seeds
1 teaspoon red chilli powder
100 gm fresh cream
Salt according to your taste
3 green chillies sliced
1/2 tsp fenugreek leaves(Kasuri methi), crushed

How to Make Butter Chicken

For marinating the butter chicken- first of all, we take a bowl and put mix red chilli powder, ginger garlic paste, salt and curd. now we add chicken pieces in it and mix it well. then we Keep it in the refrigerator for overnight if you have enough time or minimum for 4- 5 hours. now we Roast the marinated chicken in a tandoor or an oven for about 12-15  minutes.

For the chicken gravy-take a pan and put butter in it and heat it. than Pour in the tomato puree, and saute for 2-3 minutes. now we have to add cumin seeds, sugar, red chilli powder and salt. Mixit well. Now we Add the prepared chicken, white butter fresh cream, sliced green chillies and crushed fenugreek leaves(Kasuri methi). Saute it for 3-5 minutes and let the chicken cook. now cook chicken until it cooked. now our chicken is ready to serve.Serve hot with rice or naan.
